Keppel Corporation, race partner of Uniquely Singapore in the Clipper 05-06 Round the World Yacht Race, became the sponsor of the Singapore entry for Clipper 07-08 with Singapore Tourism Board as race partner. Keppel Corporation was also the host port sponsor for the Singapore port visit in January 2008.

Now that we are on the last leg of the race, with less than a few days of sailing to Cork, Ireland, these questions have been going through my mind;
What will I miss about this adventure?

Hizam Haiyon
Age 35, Assistant Engineering Manager
Sponsored by Keppel Corporation, the multi-national company he has worked for for 12 years, Hizam is the only Singaporean competing on the whole circumnavigation. The assistant section manager, engineering, in the Keppel FELS division is currently studying for a Masters degree. He is a real action man, having scaled the heights of Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia, Mount Halasan in Korea and Ta’al volcano in the Philippines as well as enjoying kayaking and canoeing.
